MYMETER™ Team holds User Conference at The Van Dusen Mansion

Representatives from cooperatives in Minnesota, the Dakotas and Iowa traveled to Minneapolis on October 21st to participate in a roundtable discussion and provide user experience to help guide our team as they develop new and innovative features for MYMETER™.
The Age of Mobile Information
Chief among many additional features suggested at the User Event was the development of mobile device technology to enhance the ability of MYMETER™ to provide instant information to consumers.

The planned rollout of the MYMETER™ mobile platform is slated for Q1 of 2011.

Also related to our mobile initiative is the latest new feature of MYMETER™, Notification Settings. Users can choose to be notified by text message or email when usage thresholds are exceeded over a specified period of time.
University of Minnesota's CERTs Representative a highlight at MYMETER™ Event

Melissa Pawlisch, the Clean Energy Resource Teams (CERTs) coordinator for the University of Minnesota’s Regional Sustainable Development Partnerships program was a keynote speaker at the MYMETER™ user event in October where her ideas to bring resources, technical assistance, energy users and producers in rural areas together to conserve energy were very well received.

Among Melissa’s talking points were ideas for using the MYMETER™ advantage to track conservation projects among various user groups. One idea that was floated by Lake Region Cooperative was that Utilities with the MYMETER™ program compete with each other to see who can save the most kWh over a period of time.
MYMETER™ Goes National
Earlier this year Accelerated Innovations began planning to market the MYMETER™ product to co-ops beyond Minnesota’s borders and we are happy to say that in a short time we now have utilities in Iowa, South Dakota, Oklahoma and Indiana who have either implemented MYMETER™ or are preparing to soon.
Some of you may have seen our full page advertisement in the July issue of RE Magazine that kicked off our venture beyond Minnesota and this fall MYMETER™ sales staff were traveling the country presenting and exhibiting to cooperatives' member services meetings in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana and Kentucky.
